Yes, I knew I did that when I did it. I'm not sure, given speech cursor 
navigation issues, whether muting is best done there or not. I just wanted to 
think it through for a bit, first, but figured it was still best to put in the 
setting.

My intuitiion is telling me that there's probably also a possible difference 
between what should be done during hirizontal cursor motion (which includes 
input) and vertical line navigation.

Yes. So there's how to announce white space and when to announce white space. 
Can we come up with a set of values for these?
