[BRLTTY] orca, or brltty

I run Brltty 4.3 using the en-us-g2 contraction table. Within the gedit program, I notice that the first word on the line, if you down arrow, is uncontracted. I haven't investigated whether this occurs in all text editors. Is this an Orca thing or a Brltty thing?
