That's very nice, but I haven't the slightest idea what that means. All I 
know is that in grade 2 it should translate into two hyphens and it 
translates into only one. I can fix it for myself in my xdg file but it 
really represents a misbehavior in the "contracted English braille" 
facility.

In case it helps, here, copied by hand, is one sentence in which it occurs:
