From the log, it actually looks like it was working. The time when you heard 
the warning tone was when you accidentally pressed two adjacent routing keys at 
the same time. What you heard wasn't a warning tone for a bad cursor routing 
attempt, but, rather, it was the begin and end linear copy tunes. This is 
because pressing two routing keys at once is a quick way to do a linear copy of 
that character segment to the clipboard.
