Yes, that's exactly what the log does show. As I recall, you're expecting some 
kind of internal menu. If so, brltty would have nothing to do with that. It 
wouldn't even matter if that key combination were bound to a brltty function. 
Your device would simply do whatever internal thing is supposed to happen.
