It has to be the device itself. The Alva allows for a configuration with USB 
being the primary interface and Bluetooth being the secondary interface. If 
that's how you have it configured then it could be that only the primary 
interface interprets that key combination. This is just a guess, though. If one 
wants to be sure, then it'd take a lot of experimentation, research within the 
manual, asking the manufacturer, etc.
