:-( You didn't read. The debug log level just means to log all of the 
uncategorized messages. You still need to enable the categories you want to see 
for categorized messages. Please use: debug,speech,brldrv,inpkts,outpkts

Also, if you can, use "ulimit -c unlimted" and see if you're getting a core 
file. If you are, a backtrace would be useful.

If you don't have an actual braille display then brldrv and after may not be 
very helpful.
