I ran the strace command (see attached log). I did the following on my 
keyboard, as soon as it ran:

- Switched to the next terminal window (Ctrl+PageDown)
- With the braille input typed 'a' (dot1), 'b' (dot1+2), 'c' (dot1+4)
- Tried three times a backspace (dot7) and one enter (dot8)
- Switched to the previous terminal window (Ctrl+PageUp)
- Killed the call to strace with Ctrl+C
