I've opened a bug / request already:

Lets see if they will upgrade brltty for the initial 44 release or not 
because some packages have to be recompiled for the integration. Yes, the 
timing was bad, but in theory integration its still possible. And if not, 
maybe we get brltty 6.91 as an upgrade later.
