Yes, that's unfortunately correct. The Mantis is one of HumanWare's newer models. They made the decision to get rid of the older RFCOMM way of imlementing Bluetooth connectivity, and are now only using Bluetooth HID. While brltty does support HID over USB, it doesn't yet support HID over Bluetooth.

So, for now, you should be able to use your Mantis via USB. And, yes, we should implement Bluetooth HID support.
