There is vbtp, a file transfer program for the VisioBraille braille
termina.
It'd be nice to have file transfer programs for other braille devices
written.

I also recently wrote a little program that I called "bless" (for
braille less) and which has two main functionalities :

(1) It lets a blind user read text files without having to change the
screen, making the reading cntinuous and hence (IMHO) more comfortable.

(2) It includes a bookmark facility, which lets one continue to read a
file where one stopped last time. This is useful when reading e-books,
for instance.

For the moment this program handles only the braille display, and
displays nothing on the screen.
It's written in Caml. It's unpublished so far, but if someone is
interested, I'll send him/her the sources.
