Hi,

The idea seems quite fine. The software part could just be on a USB key
and hence save power/noise/failures.

In fact, this just looks like usual embedded systems, there is nothing
really special here, you should have a look at usual linux embedded
projects.

If you already have linux in the box, why reimplementing vt100 when
minicom could just be launched too ?

I actually don't know many programs that emulate VT100 terminals. Maybe
we should get their implementation out into a library, that all of them
(and hence brltty too) would then just use?
