[BRLTTY] brltty with mbrola speech

Hi,
is there a way to use brltty with the mbrola speech?
I need a German speaking software synth, and the only free downloadable one is mbrola.
I could use sbl as an alternative, but I think brltty is the better braille program.
So as a work arround I use sbl only with speech, which works, but not quite well.
Perhaps some knows another German synthesizer that works with brltty?
