Don't be so hasty. Let's do an experiment.

Let's slow brltty down just to see if it's sending data too quickly. Please
invoke brltty with the -U10 option (note that the U is uppercase). This tells
brltty to refresh at most every 10 hundredths of a second (the default is -U4). 
The side effect of this is that brltty will seem a little more sluggish. If it
works, please try slowly reducing the number until you find the lowest number
that works properly.
