My USB to serial converter identifies itself as:
Belkin Components F5U109/F5U409 PDA Adapter

I don't know the product or model number, though.

Finding a reliable serial to USB converter vendor with good kernel support
would help a number of people with older braille displays that don't provide
USB interfaces.

Anyone with further information or suggestions is welcome to contribute to
this discussion.
