I dont know what I was thinking when I typed this. I ment to say that the
status cells do show the correct cursor position, as usual, noting unusual
at all about the status cell output when cursor tracking suddenly stops.

Sure. I'll first try to reproduce it a third time, and then stop using the SD
driver. This might take a while since it seems to happen quite randomly, but
definitely not often.
