Press Ctrl+Alt+F1 to F6 to switch to consoles 1 to 6. Once you're in a 
console just press Alt (always the left alt) plus the F key. You can also 
press Alt+Right or Left Arrow to go to the next/previous console, but if you 
scroll outside the range of 1-6 you must press Alt+Ctrl+the F key to get 
back in it.
