[BRLTTY] Revisiting (again and again) the continuus display issue

Hi.

As a user of a 88 cell display which is continuus (no space between
"status cells" and the rest of the display), I asked about
refactoring the status cell situation now since about 2 years.
Dave promised to do this someday. I already had a patch for my
driver (ht) (adding braille-parameters like the fs driver already has them)
but Dave rejected this patch because he said he has a better solution.

I am waiting to see this better solution pop up since a very long time now.

Can we please move forward on this issue now that we have
3.10 out and are in a new development cycle?

I'd be happy to help, but since my approach (adding breaille-parameters)
is apparently not acceptable, I am kinda stuck here.

Please, its such a waste of efficiency to not be able to use the remaining 8
cells, especially when you are working in X11.
