You want to use the Baum driver and the ttyS0 device: -bbm -dserial:ttyS0

If this doesn't work, then please send a log of the problem. To do that, add 
the -ldebug option, and, using 2>, reciredt standard error to a known file:

   brltty -bbm -dserial:ttyS0 -ldebug 2>/path/to/brltty.log
