Yes. If you're using the latest development code (which, by the way, will be 
released into production as brltty 4.2 in just a week or two now) then it's 
really easy. All you need to do is to edit the key table for the Alva BC models 
(which is /etc/brltty/brl-al-bc.ktb).

Having said that, though, SmartPadF3+RoutingKey is already bound to the 
function which does a linear cut. You can make the change privately, of course, 
if you'd personally like the keys bound differently, or we can decide on a good 
binding for the function which can be added to the distributed table.

Are you referring to using keys on the keyboard which is on the Feature Pack? 
If yes then all that should be necessary is to design a keyboard key table 
which does what you need.

Also, if you indeed do have the Feature Pack and if you'd like to help me do 
some testing, I'd like to work on adding direct brltty support for its 
keyboard.
