Indeed; although I had run that already, no it worked.

I was able (by chance) to track down the issue with the doubled letters when
typing a capital letter. It only occurs, when I have turned on the "Raise
Pitch" option in the preferences. When I use "Say Cap" it vanishes. I use the
eSpeak speech driver. Is there anything I can test there?

I don't know whether you would implement a last suggestion in this late
development cycle, but it would be a little one. (if it isn't implemented
already)
I'd love to have the possibility to have the cursor set to the next line, when
the display reaches the end of the line / the display moves on the next one.
This is useful when reading fluently and getting at the end of the window.

BTW, there seems to be no binding for the new speech commands in the
kbd-laptop.ktb. I don't use most of them, but could you bind SPEAK_NEXT_WORD and
SPEAK_PREV_WORD to Caps ArrowLeft and Caps +ArrowRight?
