Are you simply adding the -3 option to the invocation of Cython?

I assume you're patching Bindings/Python/bindings.m4. If so, could you please 
let us know exactly what changes you're making in order to do the Python 3 
thing?

We're planning exactly that in the next couple of weeks or so.
