I understand the need to do a bit of guessing. Perhaps, though, you could pose 
a guess as a question rather than as a statement which sounds to most people 
like a discovered fact. That's what I'm pushing back against - the accidental 
misleading of others. While I'm rather easy-going about what gets discussed on 
this list, one thing I don't want it to become is a source of rumours and 
misunderstandings.

It's likely to be a lot slower, though, as the protocol that HTDoc uses is 
probably transferring in bulk, i.e. lots of bytes at once.

Yes, I just made a guess. :-) Note, however, that I carefully qualified it with 
"likely" and "probably".
