Its not more or less a security problem like running ALSA what also runs 
"systemwide" by design.
If you are not on an remote machine/ thin client that would be not that 
big deal then. otherwise all users will hear your sound ;).

don't worry as long your pulse instance is not reachable via network 
(default)  there is no big difference to ALSA for security stuff.
So don't stream with that instance to the network or make it available 
via network and everything is fine.
