Oh, yes, you're right. This complicates things a lot. I just can interrupt speech but of course this is not so easy for
the braille-only use case.
The idea came from the second point in my initial email (selecting too much text in x11 and then paste it on tty1 with
Brltty). There a shortcut which speaks the current content would be convenient to verify that copying was successful.
For that I even would be happy if the "show clipboard contents" shortcut just would show the first 40 or 80 chars and append a "...".
But it is not that important. If I'm not sure whats in the paste buffer I can open a text editor and paste it, as I did
before. Never mind.
