There also are CLIP_SAVE and CLIP_RESTORE, which save/restore the clipboard content to/from /var/lib/brltty/clipboard. 

Yet another way to play with it is the brltty-clip command. Use -h for full details. It lets you get/set brltty's clipboard content from the command line.
