Same behaviour here with Gnome.

Running brltty in tmux mode in a terminal works fine and even the routing 
keys of my braille device do work which is not the case if i run brltty in 
at-spi mode, but in normal graphical windows where Orcas braille output is 
normaly working, there isn't shown anything in braille anymore :-(. Why this 
is the case I do not really understand.
