[BRLTTY] Almost newbie question: Configuring brltty?

Hello:

 

     I have a question on how to get brltty to use the desired table.

I am not understanding the manual for brltty. In 2025, I purchased a
Raspberry Pi 5 running Bookworm. When I installed brltty, all went well. I
am in the U. S., and my braille display displayed the various characters in
the form I was expecting.

I recently upgraded the OS to Trixie. Orca was also installed and is
talking.

This time when I installed brltty, the displayed characters are not what I
expected. The numerals include dot 6. For example 1 is dots 1-6, 2 is dots
1-2-6 etc. The less than sign is dots 2-3-6 etc.

How do I rectify this issue?

 

Thank you to all the people who support brltty. I do programming, and it
would be incredibly hard to code without braille.
