Bear in mind that the only people who run Debian Etch are probably server
administrators who do not plan any major upgrades for the lifetime of the
servers.

The rest of us who use Debian are running either Debian Testing or Debian
Unstable. "Unstable" is surprisingly reliable most of the time.
