It's just a matter of which table the contraction translator grabs the dot 
pattern from.

I see it more as a setting for what to do when braille is being contracted. I 
say this because whether the current word is literary or computer braille is a 
user preference which really shouldn't change just because he's switched out of 
contracted braille for a moment.
