Also, I plan to test this myself, but only after the debian package of liblouis arrives in the Unstable repository. I ran a search just a moment ago and it hasn't entered Unstable yet. I don't see much point in compiling it from source and installing it, only to remove all of the installed files a short time later when the packaged version becomes available.
