No. Nigel Herring in Sydney, whose services I highly recommend, is as far as I
know the only technical specialist in Australia who has the expertise to work
with the piezoelectric cell technology used in braille displays.

Unfortunately not. The grease and dust build up inside, where the very fragile
cell components are.

I'm no expert, but it might just need cleaning. I don't know who handles the
BrailleNote, but at some point you should probably have it serviced. These
problems only get worse over time until it's all cleaned properly.

My Brailliant 40 is having similar problems, as well as pins that stay up when
they should be down - a strong indication that cleaning is becoming necessary.
