How do you find out which resolution is the fitting one? Are changes after a
reboot gone, do I need this as a kernel parameter? Which modes are available?

How do I load such a font?

So the framebuffer is no problem, but currently I have 170 characters, 160
would be nicer (or even 120).
How do I find out how to achieve this?
