[BRLTTY] Unknown ID

Hi!
I have found brltty extreemly hard to set up for my braillex el40s.
This is with version 4.4 which is not in the repository for ubuntu from what i know.
I am not sure if i can help you.
Can you start brltty manually from the root prompt or do you not even get anything on the display when trying?
