[BRLTTY] turning your computer into a TTY

NOt a terminal type, but one of those units the deaf use for communicating on the phone. If you have a computer, a phone line and a braille display, can you turn it into a TTY instead of having to spend even more money buying something like

Here's an excerpt from the description:

To aid the Deaf-Blind in having a conversation over the telephone, Krown Manufacturing Inc. has developed the new Krown V-Touch Braille-TTY telephone. This device allows the user to communicate with a Relay Operator, another TTY, or even a Braille-TTY

This thing is over six grand, so I just wondered about alternatives.
