[BRLTTY] esting Brltty with out a Refreshable Display And getting a 40 cell simulation

SIJU :
I reinstalled  the following package but I am NOT  getting a 40-cells text
window.

re-installed packages
----------------------------------
at-spi package,
libatspi-dev
libxaw7-dev

 and the above configure and make install is fine.  For a reference
Configure.status shows
   internal-braille-drivers: xw
   internal-screen-drivers: as

Compared to the direction in the document,  I do not  have this
/usr/lib/at-spi) . I could not locate at-spi but I saw the following in my
machine

siju at ubuntub:/usr/lib$ ps -A | grep  spi
 1573 ?        00:00:00 at-spi-bus-laun
 1580 ?        00:00:00 at-spi2-registr

I also set the  GTK_MODULES in .bashrc and exported to reflect as
global/environment  variable. (Note : set the  variable in etc/evironment.
But It is not showing in when i use sudo. I am not sure it has any
significance)

gail:atk-bridge
siju at ubuntub:~$ sudo printenv GTK_MODULES  ==>NOT showing up.
siju at ubuntub:~$ sudo printenv TERM
xterm


The following from a 'term window' is  not showing up a 40 cell window as
described in the document.
siju at ubuntub:~/BRLTTY/brltty-4.5$ sudo brltty -b xw -x as -A auth=none,host=
127.0.0.1:1
BRLTTY 4.5 rev 5477 [http://mielke.cc/brltty/]
siju at ubuntub:~/BRLTTY/brltty-4.5$ ps -A |  grep brl
 6550 ?        00:00:00 brltty
siju at ubuntub:~/BRLTTY/brltty-4.5$


Also when I call sudo ./apitest  Now it gives authentication error.   Can
you please suggest a solution to obtain the 40 cell window.
