Hi,

I have general clarification on grade2 braille (editing).

When using grade2 braille, how the system should behave when editing a
'contracted word' using the display device? Note that, the corresponding
English letters are shown on the screen .

For example, "according" is translated to "ac". Now on the device, if
the 'cursor' is pressed on top the dot-cell corresponding to "c" and
press delete what is the behavior general user is expected. Assume
'according' is a part of the sentence.

Noticed the flowing behavior, but would like to know what is the
suggested way.

1. In IOS7, when the cursor is pressed at 'c', the word 'according' will
expand to 'grade1 6 dots' braille . And backspace (which is DOT7)
deletes just a letter. So computer screen will show "accordin".

2. In JAWS, if we press cursor on 'c', it will remain as 'ac' in the
device. And deleting 'c' will delete just 'c' and on screen 'a' is
displayed.

3. Liblouis has the option to expand to DOT-8 (computer braille) at cursor
position. So the word at the cursor changes to 'DOT 8 braillle'. But
here it is not sure how the user expected input any number or capital
letter, whether is DOT8 braille or not? When using grade2, for editing
using DOt-8-computer braille is it a common practice?

Thanks for any input and direction.

Thanks,
Siju Samuel
