To find the key bindings for your particular device: go to brltty.com, click on 
Documentation, and then on Key Binding Lists (right near the top). On that 
page, in the Braille Device Bindings section, look for your driver and then 
model (in your case, FreedomScientific and then Focus Blue).

You can also read your device's binding list directly while using brltty on 
your device. Use Chord-H (Space + dots 125).

Specifically, for deleting the previous character, use Space + Dot7.
