[BRLTTY] Contracted Braille

I'm helping a blind friend and have supplied to him a decent Dell desktop 
running Debian 9.4 with brltty. He is using the PowerBraille 80 system. 
I've managed to figure out how to get the correct driver loaded, and how to 
change the rocker bar configuration. But what he needs is English contracted 
braille with capital letters and no additional flashing dots. In his DOS system, 
he can access that setting by pushing concave + convex, but those buttons 
don't seem to respond in brltty. I've read the documentation about contraction 
files and text files, but still haven't been able to put this together. What config 
settings are needed to give English contracted braille with capital letters and 
no additional flashing characters? Thanks in advance.
