Do you have a Linux system to see if brltty recognizes it there?

Currently I only run Linux in WSL (Windows System for Linux) and I'm not
sure if I can assign a USB port to that.

What are the vendor and product identifiers of the Mantis?

Below is the handshake when the Mantis is connected. I think the information
you ask is in the first line:

I'm still wondering if you might need an OTG cable. Maybe not - and even
theoretically not - but, when things don't work as expected, I wonder
everything.

I've been googling for a USB-C OTG cable, but can't find anything that makes
sense to me.

I'll try the USB connection with a focus display that has USB C as well, to
see what happens there. First results weren't that good, since Android
announced the Focus as an unknown audio device.....

With kind regards,

Henk.
