> For the acronymically challenged - like myself - what's RISE?
No worries! I'm pretty sure this is all accurate. The Monarch RISE program is something APH got a multimillion dollar grant to do. They selected people in phases 1 and 2 to give a Monarch to, and will select people in phase 3 later on, over the next three years or so. Phase 1 consists of professionals, like teachers, VR counselors, and technology workers. They're supposed to develop workflows with the Monarch and mentor other participants. People in phase 2, like me, are in college, early in their careers, or under-employed. I'm putting a lot of time into supporting students and instructors who have Monarchs, on a volunteer basis. Phase 3 will be people applying for jobs. There are other things involved too. For example, I've been giving APH a lot of feedback about aspects of the Monarch that can be improved.
> Well, it doesn't matter who's willing to provide one, e.g. RISE, APH, or whoever else.
Would you mind telling me where you're located, and which organizations you've asked to lend you a Monarch, just so I won't ask people we know will say no?
No, not on the Monarch. I'm referring to ssh access to your PC, to which your Monarch would be connected.
That would be a good last resort option then, right? I know Jason White also said he might be able to help
