Ah, can somebody report whether it works on linux with USB?

In case it's just a USB ID issue, could you check it in the control
panel?  (It should be in the hardware manager, get the properties of
your device while it is connected as USB, and look in the details panel
for something like USB\VID_045E&PID_930A

It's good to know that it at least works through bluebooth. I guess you
have some drivers from your manufacturers to make that com7 port appear,
don't you?
