Well, I decided. The latest code moves the braille pattern check after the text
table lookup but before looking for a defined replacement character.

So, now, anyone who wants to have different representations for the braille
pattern chracters need only explicitly define them within the text table. Note
that this can be a wrapper text table which defines the braille patterns and
then includes the actual one.
