[BRLTTY] BRLTTY does not work in emergency shell

Certainly nothing intentional. You can always remount / read-writye to see if brltty will then start. The command to do that is:

   mount -o remount,rw /

If you have a writable volume that'll survive booting to the regular system then you could run brltty with its -L (that's an uppercase L) option to specify which file it should write its logs to.
