Hi Ginger,

I guess you know that a difference between compiling a tarball and a 
repository version is that you add the ./autogen command before ./configure.

Are you sure you need to add the `screen' driver? As far as I know (which 
isn't very far I'm sure) the only time you need the `screen' driver is when 
there is no other way to access the text. Since you have the Linux driver, 
`screen' seems superfluous. I use `screen' all the time on both Fedora and 
Cygwin but have never had to compile a driver for it.
