Hi Lee, 

of cuase I executed autogen before configuring and now with Daves' 
help I finished the compiling but still have the same problem as 
before:

directories are still shown as questionmarks on the braille display - 
I cannot understand it because with the el2d connected via serial port 
everything works fine. 

Do you have an idea how to solve this problem?

The box said to install Nt 4.0 or better - so I installed Solaris
