Hi Dave and the rest, 

I have all problems fixed! Seems to be a problem of my installation - 
I tried it today on my other computer - just to give it a try - and 
hey hoe, it works perfectly - everything is showing the way it should 
- no more questionsmarks unless really wanted. 

Thanks again for your kind and quick help. Now I can start learning 
how to use brltty and its features!

The box said to install Nt 4.0 or better - so I installed Solaris
