The EL 40 S only has keys. It doesn't have switches. This confusion goes away 
in brltty's development stream. Please ignoreo any lines in the help which 
refer to switches.

Some Pepenmeier EL models also have switches. The difference is that a key 
automatically returns to the center position after you press it whereas a 
switch stays after you press it.
